wound Tight
by Virginia Elizabeth Samuel, United Kingdom
always ready
for an explosion - move Out
insides
like a steel spring - wound Tight
- it's only a flesh wound -
the war is lost -
looming
near your neglected
hiding place -
you can come out now -
you Trip
on my chains,
O give me
the numb shot
there is only a sprinkling of blood
in this haunted habitation
where the moist eye Craves
the pastoral -
it's as if you live
in a bottle of smoke -
Retreat
eccentricity - Hush
in good faith -
extinguished
