Our Story

Hi, I’m Alexis Wu, the editor-in-chief and founder of The Bokeh Review! I built this publication from the ground up one sunny afternoon, dreaming of a place where people like me—young, underrepresented creators who crave a community for their work to be treasured and shared with others—could find a home for their words, their artistry. And that’s where the idea was born for a magazine that maximizes diversity and accessibility while showcasing the work of people from all different walks of life. It’s taken many hours of hard work, but I am so happy to shared The Bokeh Review with the world and I’m excited to see where it leads me—and I’m just as excited to see where it leads you. After all, the youth is the future. Art is the future. We are the future.
