A tidal wave and I stand amidst the vomited blues and the

hypersalivated white foam—A tidal wave and I grope at the slimy

lengths of fish, thumb rubbing against the scales under the Pervert

Sun—A tidal wave and I come back from home to this place, a cake and

a forgotten wet dream, velcro shoes sticking XXX times on crushed

shells, thousands and millions more of my crushed bone and my

crushed lips—A tidal wave but I forgot to go to the sea, so I pictured

the tidal wave in my head and I saw it grow a body, the arms, legs,

penis, a vulva, and squirmed but it was a fantasy—A tidal wave and I

sniffed up snot and the glittering pulmonary edema, my best friend,

the snake up my sleeve is warm and cool and the fangs are decorated in

star stickers and words of encouragement— A tidal wave and I went to

the shore with an arm bitten off.

So at the shore I gave birth and I was an

upside-down Medusa with snakes spilling from a

bleeding vagina so I picked them up one by one and

fed them my thousands and millions more of

crushed bone and kissed them a million more times

until my lips dissolved into the rubble, I

remembered I was a little girl so I started collecting

them like Shopkins and displayed them in my lap,

waiting for the camera, and when the shutter never

clicked I got up, my babies in my arms, and I threw

them into the tidal wave, and so it was a race of

snakes the length of my so-so penis where I

watched with proud tears pooling at the corners of

these little girl eyes and yelled out, and I prayed

the sound reached to each wiggling worm,

A TIDAL WAVE WILL RETURN YOU BACK TO ME / YOU

WILL COME BACK COVERED IN PLASTIC GEMSTONES

AND I WILL STICK YOU IN MY SKETCH BOOK / AN

EQUATOR PRIESTESS WILL DETERMINE WHETHER YOU

ARE SYMBOL METAPHOR OR SIGN / SHE WILL FAIL, SHE

WILL NOT CLAIM YOU / MY MATERIAL BABY / YOU ARE

MY FLESHY BABY
